How Do I Sell My Copper Items to 2nd Markets?

Most online buyers require that you bring or send your items to them before they will make an offer. We are different. If you can give us a detailed description, we can make a sight-unseen offer. And we are willing to bet that you can shop our offer around to your local antique shops and jewelry stores and you will come back to us. That's because we really do pay top dollar for copper items. Others SAY they do, but we REALLY do.

If you simply do not how to describe your items, or how to email a photo, we can still do business, but it will require that you trust us enough to send your items in for a free, no-obligation offer. Check our references (on the About Us page tab) then contact us (see our Contact Us page tab above) to get instructions on how to ship. Unlike other buying sites, we will not mail a check until you accept our offer. Upon receipt of your items, we will appraise them and contact you via email or phone to tell you of our appraisal. If you accept the appraisal, we will mail you a check the same day. If you prefer to be paid via Paypal or bank wire transfer, we can do that too. Whatever works best for you.

If you do have the weight and types of your gold, please tell us as much as you can by following these guidelines:

1. What do you have? Be detailed oriented. Give a detailed description, dimensions, markings or stamping on the bottom.
2. Take photos of the item and email them to us at jon@2ndmarkets.com. Without good descriptions or at least photos, we can't make an offer. Click here to read our About Us page which includes our BBB, Chamber of Commerce and Banking references.
3. For each item, be sure to honestly describe defects and overall condition.



1. Are you sure you have solid copper and not copper-plate or copper coated? We do not buy plated.
2. Next, we need to know what you have. We need a detailed description, size, stampings,etc..
3. Make an itemized inventory list on a sheet of paper following the guideline above.
4. For each item, be sure to honestly describe the CONDITION as nearly as you can.
5. Once your list is completed, go to our COPPER QUOTE FORM.

Once you have your inventory list completed, submit it to us by clicking the GET A QUOTE button below. This will take you to our COPPER QUOTE FORM, where you can quickly input and send your list.
